This tutorial is best done with a vertical image
Open your tube and resize it to 190 pixels in width
The width is very important in this lesson.
The measurements of my tube
was width 190 x 210 pixels in height
but not all images will have this size.
For this reason I will use selections in this tutorial.
Choose two colors from your image:
light foreground;
dark background.
With your image open:
Selections -- Select All
Selections -- Modify -- Contract with 1 pixel.
Selections -- Invert
Fill this selection with your dark color.
Open a new transparent image 400 x 400 pixels.
Fill with your light color.
Add a new raster layer and fill with your dark color.
Effects -- Image Effects -- Offset,
with these settings:

Effects -- Filters Unlimited --
Buttons & Frames -- Mirrored Frame,
with frame size 37.
Effects -- Texture Effects -- Blinds,
with these settings:

Effects -- Distortion Effects -- Wind,
from left, windstrength on 100.
Duplicate this layer.
Image -- Mirror
Change the opacity of this layer to 50%
Add a new raster layer
Activate your Rectangle in your Selection Tools
Click on the Custom Selection...

... and fill in these values:
-
Top : 93
-
Left : 103
-
Right : 296
-
Bottom : 306
|

Activate your tube / image
Copy and Paste as a new layer onto your canvas.
*****
If your image doesn't fit in well, do the following:
Drag the image down until the
dark top border appears
in the selection as well.
Invert the selection and
press your delete key once.
*****
Selections -- Deselect
Layers -- Arrange -- move Down
(if you used the delete method, move it down a second time)
Layers -- Duplicate
Layers -- Arrange -- Move Down
Stay on this layer.
Effects -- Toadies Ommadawn,
with these settings:

Change the opacity of this layer to 70%
Make sure your image/tube-layer (layer 3 is active
If you used the delete-method, it will be your layer 4.)

Effects -- 3D Effects -- Drop Shadow,
with these settings:
-
Vertical : 3
-
Horizontal : 3
-
Opacity : 50
-
Blur : 4
-
Color : Black
|
Activate the top layer in your layers palette ( highlighted in blue )
Add a new raster layer

and click on Custom Selection again.
Fill these values in:
-
Top : 61
-
Left : 51
