Save it in the Patterns folder of PSP 8

 

  

A tube of your choice

 

And that's it. Let's begin :-)

 

  1. Choose a color from your image, duplicate your image and minimize the copy
     
  2. Go to Image >>> Add Border of 20 pixels in a color NOT in your image. Select the border with your Magic Wand - Tolerance 0; Opacity 0.
    Fill the border with your color. 
     
  3. Go to Effects >>> Distortion Effects >>> Wind: windstrength 100; Wind Direction: from Left.

    Repeat this Distortion effect with the Wind Direction from the Right.
     
  4. Go to Selections >>> Invert
     
  5. Go to Effects >>> 3D Effects >>> Cut Out, with these settings:

     

    Cut Out - settings

     

    Vertical: 2

    Horizontal: 2

    Opacity: 50

    Blur: 5.00

    Shadow Color: Black

     



     

  6. Repeat the Cut Out effect with the horizontal- and Vertical settings on -2
     

  7. Deselect ( Ctrl +D)
     

  8. Select the top and bottom borders with your Magic Wand with the Shift-key on the keyboard pressed in.
     

  9. Go to Effects >>> Artistic Effects >>> Topography, with these settings:

     

     Topography settings:

    Width: 96

    Density: 36

    Angle: 257

    Color: White


    Apply the effect again.
    Now go to Effects >>> Filters >>> FM Tile Tools >>> Blend Emboss
     

  10. Selections >>> Select None ( or Ctrl+D)
     

  11. Go to Image >>> Add Borders - 5 pixels, select with your Magic Wand and fill with the gold pattern.
     

  12. Go to Effects >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel - with these settings:

     

    Inner Bevel Settings:

     

    Bevel no. 8

    Width: 4

    Smoothness: 0

    Depth: 5

    Ambience: 0

    Shininess: 0

    Color: WHITE

    Angle: 315

    Intensity: 35

    Elevation: 30

    Deselect.(Ctrl +D)
     

  13. Add a 15 pixel border again and fill with your color.
    Go to Effects >>> Filters >>> Greg's Factory Filters Vol 2
    with these settings:(default settings)


    Deselect ( Ctrol +D)

     

  14. Add a 5 pixel border and fill with the gold pattern. Apply the same Inner Bevel effect as in step 9.

 

Your frame is finished.

 Now you can make a background for it:-)

If you want to add the picture to a background,

you must now reduce the size of the image to 300 pixels in height.

Adjust >>> Sharpen.

 

 

BACKGROUND

 

  1. Open a new image of 1024x350. Go to Selections >>> Select All.
     

  2. Activated the copy of your image that was minimized. Copy and Paste it into the selection
     

  3. Deselect
     

  4. Adjust >>> Sharpen >>> Unsharpen.
    Adjust >>> Blur >>> Gaussian Blur - Radius 20
     

  5. Effects >>> Simple Filters >>> Diamonds
     

  6. Effects >>> Image Effects >>> Seamless Tiles - with these settings:

     

     Seamless Tiles Settings:

    Tiling method: Corner

    Direction: Biredirectional

    Horizontal offset: 0

    Vertical offset: 0

    Corner Style: Linear.


     

  7. Add a new Raster layer. Fill with your color and chnage the opacity of this layer to 80% on your layer palette. Merge all layers.
     

  8. Effects >>> Edge Effects >>> Enhance.
     

  9. Adjust >>> Add/ Remove Noise - Add Noise of 8% - monochrome disabled.
     

  10. Activate your framed image >>> Edit >>> Copy. And Edit >>> Paste onto your background canvas. Drag into the position you prefer it to be.
     

  11. You can add a drop shadow to your frame but it is not necessary.
    Settings for the drop shadow: Vertical and Horizontal = 10
    Opacity: 100; Blur: 5; Color: Black.

You are finished.
