This tutorial was written in PSP 9

but can also be done in PSP 8

A tube of your own

 

:save in your PSP Selection folder .

 

 

:save in an image folder

 

 

:save it in your filters folder

 

 


 

We have everything to begin now:)

Step 1.

Open the psp-droom template.

(tip: you can colorize it to fit your own image)

Adjust--> Hue and Saturation-->Colorize.

 

Step 2.

Choose two colors-

one light, and one dark color -from your own

image.

 

Step 3.

Make a gradient with it, as in the example below:

Linestyle:

Angle

Repeats

: Radial

: 132

: 25

 

Step 4.

Open a new canvas 500 x 400 pixels

and fill with the gradient.

 

Step 5.

Adjust --> Blur --> Gaussian Blur of 20.

 

Step 6.

Effects --> Texture Effects--> Mosaic Antique,

with these settings:


 

Step 7.

Open the template and Edit-->Copy

Go to the canvas and Edit--> Paste as new layer.

Change the opacity of this layer to 70% in your Layers Palette.

 

 

Step 9.

Layers--> Merge--> Merge All.

 

Step 10.

New raster layer.

 

Step 11.

Go to Selections-->Load/Save Selections--> Load from Disk

and find the psp-droom leonie 1 selections.

Apply.


 

Step 12.

Fill the selection with the light color.

 

Step 13.

Keep selected !!!

 

Step 14.

Effects --> 3D Effects --> Chisel, as seen below:

the color should be your dark color.

 

Step 15. Deselect.

 

Step 16. Change the opacity of this layer to 50%

Step 17. Duplicate this layer.

Step 18. Image--> Mirror

Step 19. Image --> Flip

 

You must have something like this now:

 

Step 20. Layers--> Merge--> Merge All.

Step 21.

Resize your own image to fit in

the canvas where you want it.

 

Step 22. Edit--> Copy

Step 23. Edit--> Paste as new layer onto the canvas

Step 24. Effects-->3D Effects-->Drop Shadow,

with these settings:

 

Step 25.

Play around with this layer.

I changed the Blend Mode to "Hard Light"

and set the opacity on 80%.

 Try to use a different tube, with "Soft Light", etc.

(Tip: a transparent tube looks very nice,

with the settings unchanged)

 

Step 26. Layers--> Merge--> Merge All.

 

Step 27. Image --> Add Borders -->

3 pixels with your dark color.

 

Step 28.

Effects--> Filter Xero--> Porcelain,

with these settings:

Your tag is finished.

You can add it to a script now,

or you can make a background for it.:-))))

 

BACKGROUND

Step 1.

Open a new canvas 1024 x 450 and fill with your gradient -

same settings as in the tag step 3 above.

 

Step 2. Adjust--> Blur --> Gaussian Blur on 20

Step 3. Layers--> New raster layer.

Step 4. Selections--> Select All

 

Step 5.

Activate the tag you just made.

Edit--> Copy.

Edit--> Paste into the selection on the canvas.

Deselect.

 

Step 6.

Change the opacity of this layer to between 35 and 50%,

choose what looks best for your image.

 

Step 7.

Make a new gradient. Style: linear,

with these settings:

Step 8.

New raster layer.

 

Step 9.

Go to Selections-->Load/Save Selection-->

find the psp-droom leonie 2 selection and apply.
Fill the selection with the gradient.

Keep selected !!!

 

Step 10.

Effects--> 3D Effects--> Chisel.

The color should be your dark color,

with these settings:

Deselect.

 

Step 11.

Change the opacity of this layer to 50%

in your Layers Palette.

Layers --> Duplicate

Image --> Mirror.

 

Step 12.

Layers --> Merge --> Merge All.

 

Step 13.

Effects--> Image Effects--> Seamless Tiling,

with these settings:

 

 

Step 14.

Activate the tag you've just made again.

Edit--> Copy

Activate the canvas again.

Edit-->Paste as new layer.

It is right where it should be.

 

Step 15.

Layers --> Merge --> Merge All.

And you're finished  :))
