Okay, we're ready to begin:

  1. Open your image and choose two colors from it. One light  and one dark color.

Tip: If you use your own image, you should make a brush with  it first as described in Step 20 of this tutorial.

  2. Make a gradient with your two colors with settings:

    Style: linear

    Angle: 90

    Repeat: 1

  3. Open a new transparent image, size 398 x 398 and fill with the gradient.

  4. Go to Adjust -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur - Radius = 50.

  5. Go to Effects -> Texture Effects -> Mosaic Antique, with these settings:

    Number of columns:50

    Number of rows: 50

    Tile Diffusion: 40

    Grout width: 2

    Grout Diffusion: 40

  6. Add a new Raster layer and set your foreground to your dark color.

  7. Go to your tools palette, choose the Airbrush and find the Shadow Brush which was provided for you. The size should be 500.
Alternatively you can use the brush you made yourself.
The settings should look like this:
    Size 500
    Step 32
    Density 100
    Opacity 100
    Blende Mode: Normal

  8.   Now add the brush to your image - in the center

  9.   Add a new Raster layer

  10.  Go to Selections -> Load Selection from Disk, and find the  psp_droom_shadow

  11.   Fill with the gradient

  12.   Selections / Deselect ( Ctrl +D)

  13.   Go to Effects -> 3D Effects -> Drop Shadow, with these settings:

    Vertical: 2

    Horizontal: 2

    Opacity: 35

    Blur: 37,5

    Color: Black

  14.   Activate your image. Edit / Copy.

  15.   Go to your canvas and Paste it onto the canvas. Resize it if necessary. If you used the image I supplied you don't need to resize it.

  16. Move the image in place where you prefer it.

  17.   Repeat the same Drop Shadow as in step 13.

  18.   Go to Layers -> Merge -> Merge All

  19. Go to Edit -> Copy, and minimize the image. We are going to proceed with the background.

    ************************************************

  20. You can make a brush with your own tube

  21. Make sure your image is not bigger than 500 x 500 pixels

  22. Go to File -> Export -> Custom Brush -> fill in the name and description and that's it. You've just made your own brush!
    How easy is that! :-)

*****************************************************

NOW FOR THE BACKGROUND

  1.  Open a new transparent image 1024 x 450 px and fill with the gradient, with the same settings as in step 2.

  2.  Adjust -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur, with Radius: 50.

  3. Effects -> Texture Effects -> Mosaic Antique with the same settings as in step 5 of the image.

  4.  Edit -> Paste as New Layer ( it is still in the memory) and don't move it!

  5.  Layers -> New Raster Layer.

  6.  Selections -> Load Selections from disk ->
find the psp-droom shadow 2, apply, and fill with the gradient.

  7.  Selections -> Select None ( or use Ctrl +D )

  8.  Effects -> 3D Effects -> Drop Shadow with the same settings as in step 13.

  9. Go to your layers palette and change the opacity of this layer to 50%

  10. In the layer palette, right click on this layer and Duplicate.

  11. Go to Image -> Mirror

  12. Layers -> Merge -> Merge All ( Flatten )

You are finished. I hope you enjoyed this lesson :-)

I wrote this tutorial myself from an idea I had.

Any resemblance to other tutorials are purely coincidental.

I will appreciate it if you will write a message in
